The Regional Center for Health Professions

The Regional Center for Health Professions houses all of Northeast State Community College’s health-related and nursing programs. The 42,000 square-foot facility is located at 300 W. Main Street in Kingsport and offers programs in Cardiovascular Technology, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technology (EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic), Medical Laboratory Technology, and Surgical Technology. The facility also is home to the College’s Nursing program, which offers a two-year associate of applied science degree.

The Cardiovascular Technology program Invasive Option provides the general education core, program specific courses, and the clinical practicum to prepare students for a career as a Cardiovascular Technologist. The knowledge and skills acquired within the classroom and laboratory setting enhances the learning opportunities for the cardiovascular student. Following the successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the registry examination to become a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
